HEAIDS starts Social Media Marketing Campaign 'Live smart'
According to the latest HEAIDS HIV Prevalence study at South African universities students use social media several times a week. Facebook and Twitter - the social media platforms with the highest following in the student community - can be used effectively to create dialogues around HIV and related social issues. To explore the potential of spreading the HEAIDS message via social media and discuss issues on HIV with the student community, HEAIDS in cooperation with DotGood will implement a social media marketing campaign starting on 17 July 2015.
At 13 HEAIDS activations at universities and TVET colleges, promoters will talk to students about how they keep it safe and share their messages via social media. Students stand a chance to win mini loudspeakers for their cellphones.
So watch out for our promoters, you might be a winner.
